Dr. Andrew James Hayward
Andrew Hayward is a Dr of Behavioural Neuroscience, photographer and cyclist. However, his biggest passion is writing: academic articles, short stories, screenplays, you name it. Anything that gets the electro-chemical cogs and gears of his brain going.
To date, he's written 5 feature-length horror screenplays, including The Smokehouse, Tili Tili Bom, Sleeper, The 12 Bloody Days of Christmas and Inchworm. He's written 4 other features of various genres including, Cobra, Other Men's Boots, Moon River, The Company Men, and 3 Salvador Dali-weird shorts, The Key, Doll Face and Pilot-Officer Barclay. He's presently working on Mine, another horror.
His inspiration comes from all over the place: personal experience, psychology, neuroscience, mathematics, music, literature, celluloid black and whites, Hammer House of Horror and filmmakers such as Clive Barker, Sergio Leone, Tarantino and more. Despite his proclivity toward dark storylines, some say he's just about normal. Though he vehemently denies the suggestion.
